2015
How It Began
We met in January 2015, aged just 17 and 19. Our first date was on Will's birthday that February, marking the start of a wonderful decade together. That spring, we passed our driving tests a month apart, and by September, we were heading off on our very first holiday.
University Years
Sussex Uni & The Red Lion
When Beth started university, Will packed up his trusty Citroen Saxo to move her into student accommodation. Throughout her degree, Will visited every single week while living and working at the Red Lion in Willingdon. Beth soon joined him there, starting out as a potwasher and working her way up to the bar whilst working on her degree.
2019 & 2021
Moving In & A Home of Our Own
In 2019, life took a big step forward as Will started his career in IT and Beth began working in patent law. We moved in together, and by December 2021, we bought our very first house. Our home was completed shortly after when Pearl, our beloved Ragamuffin cat, moved in to rule the household.
February 2025
Three Milestones in Central Park
Ten years to the day after our first date, we traveled to New York to celebrate Will's 30th birthday. On the morning of his birthday, Will surprised Beth by proposing in the middle of Central Park, presenting her with his great-grandmother's ring from the early 1900s. Our celebratory dinner that evening marked three incredible milestones: a 30th birthday, a 10th anniversary, and our engagement.
